Advanced Cable Gateway with Wi-Fi receives ENERGY STAR certification in the Small Network Equipment category

Pace, a global leader for digital TV and broadband technology solutions for service providers, is pleased to announce that its D5001 ‘Ultra’ DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Gateway has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR. The device is the first DOCSIS 3.0 modem to receive an ENERGY STAR certification in the category for Small Network Equipment (SNE), and further demonstrates Pace’s commitment to achieving its goal to be the world leader in low environmental impact products.

The Pace D5001 Ultra Gateway uses 24 bonded DOCSIS channels to deliver a new generation of high-speed data and media services, while still meeting energy efficiency levels set by the EPA.  Consumers can now use high-powered, Dual Band Wi-Fi (802.11 AC/N) and integrated MoCA 2.0 coax cable networking to connect wireless set-top boxes, media servers, IP set-top boxes, computers, tablets, smart phones, and gaming consoles to a more environmentally friendly gateway.
